Over the years, Kaspersky has built quite a reputation for developing top-notch security products, which is why their products are the one of the most popular among Windows and Mac users. Last month Kaspersky updated their security product line to 2015. Like most of the other security firms, Kaspersky does not use a version number on the program interface. However, improvements are always done every year and Kaspersky Antivirus 2015 is what we are going to talk about today.

The interface of Kaspersky Antivirus 2015 has been revamped to be more touch friendly. The new interface background is mostly white and grey with large buttons that have green borders on top. There a four buttons on the main interface: Scan, Update, Reports, and Virtual Keyboard. Like the previous editions, the scan component presents you with additional scanning options. You can choose to run a full system scan, quick scan, custom scan, and removable drive scan.
The update component allows you to run a custom update. Automatic update is turned on by default, but if you have automatic update turned off, you can use this component to manually perform a update. The reports component displays the threats detected today and summary of threats detected last month. You can view reports of each month, week, and day under detailed reports.

The virtual keyboard of Kaspersky Antivirus has been updated with a semitransparent window. The virtual keyboard features a full layout and a mini layout without the keypad. You can easily switch between the two modes using the two-headed arrow. The virtual keyboard protects you from key loggers and other keystroke stealing malwares.

Kaspersky Antivirus 2015 includes the following protection features: Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Malware, Anti-Phishing, System Watch, URL Advisor, and Real-Time and On-Demand Scanning. The detection capabilities of Kaspersky Antivirus is well beyond the scope of this article, but we follow test results from independent security firms and based on that we would definitely recommend Kaspersky Antivirus. This year’s version has not been evaluated yet, but the last year’s version received top ratings from all the security-testing firms.
