Pls download the windows update troubleshooter from microsoft. Run and problem vanishes. Such probs been happening every now and then and resolution been the troubleshooter. If I delete it, will I lost all update files on my windows 7? if you are asking about the updates that are already installed ? no, nothing will be uninstalled, it will just delete the Windows Update cache and will rebuild it again during the step 4. 212eta Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 This is what I did on Windows 8.1:-Went to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\-Renamed the file DataStore.edb and the folder Logs so that I was able to delete them.-Rebooted my system.-Went to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Update and Checked for updates.
