Plaintiff filed a class action complaint against Defendant TuneUp Corporation on behalf of a class of people in the United States who purchased paid licenses to use TuneUp Utilities 2010, TuneUp Utilities 2011, TuneUp Utilities 2012, and/or TuneUp Utilities 2013 alleging that it did not perform certain functions as advertised. A more complete description of what Plaintiff alleges is in the First Amended Class Action Complaint, which is available on the Settlement Website Court Documents Page.

All individuals and entities in the United States who through March 31, 2014 purchased a paid license to use TuneUp Utilities 2010, TuneUp Utilities 2011, TuneUp Utilities 2012, and/or TuneUp Utilities 2013 from tune-up.com, avg.com, or an authorized reseller.

If you meet that definition, you are a member of the Settlement Class.

Interesting. I actually pre-ordered a tune-up 2010 license in 2009 and have the receipt. I just filed a claim online. I wonder how much it will be worth? Probably the price of the purchase-$19.99. Maybe I'll be 2 for 2 in class-action lawsuits.

I used to play with these for shits and giggles, always expecting the TuneUp was Snake Oil.

But it was a convenient Startup Toggle, though built in Windows has gotten good with that.

I made a claim as TuneUp screwed me over the lifetime licence b.s.

After AVG took over, I have a hard time not cringing after every time I update Tune-Up. They want an awful lot of access to information for pay software.

I actually got a refund this morning (early hours) from cleverbridge for the TuneUp I purchased.
