VileTouch
have you tried making your dvd with nero? as long as you have the mkv decoder codec there shouldn't be any problems, also the loss of quality is not in the decoding but the encoding, so as long as you don't lower the quality yourself, it shouldn't lose any.. mpg is capable of lossless encoding if so you desire. Paft
I am not 100% sure what you are after because if you want to create a DVD playable in DVD players...the video has to be re-encoded to DVD standards.I had used TheFilmMachine with HCEnc or Cinema Craft Encoder when I wanted the best quality possible. But I don't do DVDs for myself anymore. As soon as HD arrived, that was it for me. However, ConvertXtoDVD is good these days with the right settings. I am happy with the results that I do for other people:Select 'No Menu'...unless of course you want a menu.Edit: Have a play with 'Two pass encoding' & 'Use best video quality' checked and unchecked because I haven't done any tests to see how much of a difference it makes in ConvertX. Passes mattered in HCEnc and Cinema Craft Encoder which accounts to longer conversion times.
