There is nothing wrong with that :)

Most antivirus software consider medicines & fixes as infected objects regardless if those objects are really infected or not !

If I can not resolve this I will need to remove Bitdefender and install another anti-virus that does not have these issues. There does not seem to be any way to disable it or allow the download.

I installed Bitdefender to try it as I got one of the 9 month keys that were recently posted in this forum.

Thanks Bhidu, I disabled On-Acess scanning and Active Virus Control for 5 minutes and was able to download the file. Exodius, I checked for this but only received a black box saying it was blocked even after switching from Autopilot to User Mode. No way to allow download or whitelist nsane.

Thanks to all who replied :)

It worked here, just disable/press hotkey to disable your download manager.

Alternatively (as with most pesky apps that do not want to quit, on a Windows machine),

1. hit "control- alt.- delete, in sequence while holding them all down. This will bring up a dialoge allowing you to "Start task manager."

2. Choose it, and when Task manager comes up, select "process" tab. At the top, click and line up the processes "by name", and right click and close any offending the app. (Most of these stubborn apps have more than one process, which is why they don't really close: a 'helper process" just opens them again, or never really closes them in the first place).

3. Scan down the far right side, and look at the description of each process. If you find one related to the app, close it as well.

4. Close "Task manager," download and install, apply any medicine, and REBOOT (so that the previously closed processes will re-open properly when you do.

This works for 99% of all these types of problems, and is quick and easy, requiring no modification or "safe-boot" work, never having to exit windows.

Hope this helps, and sorry if you already knew this and had tried it.
