Guest Flametonguex
I have a couple of music files and is there some sort of software that will compress, reduce the size of that file. Thanks

eBait
Do you have it on CD or on your HD? If it's on CD, then use Exact Audio Copy, listed on this site.

erRor67
If its already MP3, then its already compressed. You can compress it further by putting them in zip, rar, 7z but u will no longer be able to play them. You would have to uncompress them and then play them.Another way would be to uncompress the MP3 to WAV and then recompress them to MP3 but change the biterate. U would loose quality though. Samurai
MP3 is a lossy format. As such if you want to shrink them further (lower the bitrate) the best thing to do would be to rip them again / re-download them. Do not try and compress them even more, because you'll not only have horrible files at the end of it, but if you're sharing these on p2p networks - people will not be too happy with you. It would almost be the same as downloading a fake file with screeches etc...
