Or the key could be stolen, reported and banned.But the thing with Ashampoo giveaways is that the keys are often tied to the custom-made installers only. In which case you'll need a specifically built installer to work with the key (unless they specify otherwise). The link to the installer is usually provided on the official giveaway page, and the link to the key request page is optional, because the program will offer it after installation anyway.
