Why so much dislike for dcs18? I found him to be helpful and easy to get along with. He answered some of my posts with good-humoured sarcasm but his bark is worse than his bite. Cut him some slack guys, we're ALL members of this forum.

Let's assume the situation of the accident.

Dcs18 was riding a 2 wheeler with his girlfriend in the back seat. His wife was spying on him and she came riding a Duccati 999 and knocked him over.

I miss that fat assed fella. Let's pray he gets well soon and manages another girlfriend.

Why so much dislike for dcs18?

Like the annoying spamming on almost every Firefox update and other software updates with "tips" for "Preventing From Self-updating & Self-installing Automatically". Also spammed the forums with his themes for Windows and some applications.

As much as I like the color black, calling that horrible Windows theme sexy or beautiful is by far anything but sexy or beautiful. Maybe some like it, as we can't all have the same taste, but even calling it a decent theme is a stretch and should have just kept it for himself.

The default Windows theme looks better by a mile. The only thing that theme is good for is to bloat your system and patch your system files, which you shouldn't be doing.

Windows let's you personalize your system without installing any unnecessary crap which can end up in restoring. Microsoft even has a dedicated page to get more themes. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/themes

Might not have the same level of customization, but it's better than putting your system to risk.

In the end it's everyone's choice to do whatever they want with their system, but don't say you haven't been warned.

So you have a lack of compassion for a guy who just had an accident....and all because he gave an opinion and suggestion about a theme for Windows which runs contrary to your opinion??? As for the tips, they should be referred as "Your app already has this option, but let me make it harder for you, your app might crash or not work as intended anymore, but do it anyway".

Curious is the timing of dcs18s alleged bike crash and subsequent absence from these forums. :think: Could it all be just a Hollywood tale? Please remember that a bruised ego is a terrible thing, especially for an arrogant person. Either way time will heal his wounds, whatever they may be.
