smallhagrid
A while ago I viewed a film that was along the lines of "The Corporation", "Food, Inc." and other expose type documentaries. As I recall, it was very good and did a good job of categorizing & explaining how any corporation would be rated (like a score or a report card with grading...) if it were viewed as a living man or woman.Trouble is - I cannot remember its title, and searching on a generic thing like corporate citizenship brings a bazillion useless results.I'd like to watch that one again - if only I could be reminded of its title ?!?Does anyone here remember seeing such a documentary in recent years and perhaps could remind me of the title, please ?!?Thanks for any helpful replies. Howee Phartz
Maybe one of these: Why We Fight.................................... (about American foreign policy dominated by the idea of military supremacy)Manufacturing Consent..................... (about Noam Chomsky's warning about corporate media's role in modern propaganda)Environ.............................................. (about the Enron corporation, its faulty and corrupt business practices, and how they led to its fall)Zeitgeist............................................. (about mythology and belief in society today, presenting uncommon perspectives of common cultural issues.)Inside Job...........................................(about what brought about the financial meltdown.)The World According to Monsanto.....(about the largest global company that produces agricultural products: pesticides, etc.)Otherwise, it could be one of the Michael Moore's films. smallhagrid
Thanks !!Actually I don't think I've ever viewed any of those in the list you posted yet - and I have watched a bit of stuff by MM, but since then have stopped considering him to be a source for valid info.As I recall - the film I seek was narrated with a female voice and what I remember best was the different screens rating corporations on their behaviours as if they were actual people getting a performance review.Hopefully someday I will be able to find that title again... Howee Phartz
You might also want to check out this website:http://documentaryheaven.com/You can watch a huge number of foreign and domestic documentaries. You might find the one you're looking for. Scroll down on the right side of the page and look at the categories list. The section on business and economics are pretty close to the same. One other thought, might it have been a PBS Frontline episode?
smallhagrid
Thanks Again:You might also want to check out this website:http://documentaryheaven.com/You can watch a huge number of foreign and domestic documentaries. One other thought, might it have been a PBS Frontline episode?I've never watched any Frontline shows so it was either something posted on the 'net someplace, or on a DVD I got from netflix when I used that a couple of years ago.T'would be great if I could just remember enough about it to find the title again ?!?All I really remember was how it pointed out the misdeeds of corporations and kept failing them as good citizens...?! Howee Phartz
My last thought on this. One other site I found was Top Documentary Films, specifically their category of 104 documentaries on Economics. Here's the link. All are watchable on this site.http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/category/economics/Good luck, and let me know if you ever figure it out, I'd be interested in seeing it.
