I have a dial-up connection connecting my laptop with my mobile modem and that's how I get access to the internet. This connections stays connected for other apps. But when I use IDM to download something, after a few seconds my ISP gets disconnected. This happens repeatedly.

What's wrong?

Many ISP companies will disconnect user sessions if they try to access data by creating simultaneous connections, If that is the case, I would suggest you to find a better ISP (for dial-up)... :hehe:

Though, I am not sure but Dynamic Segmentation 0r your IP Block F!X could be the culprit behind this but before reaching at any conclusion try changing your Download manager & see if it works?

if, somehow the F!X as Suggested by axarad doesn't works then in IDM Connection settings try changing the connection Type to "Low Speed - Dial Up Modem" & fondle with Maximum Connection Number settings...

The connection is already set to the one highlighted and max. no. of connection is set to 1. Still not helping.

Solved. I had misconfiguard the Dial-up/VPN setting in IDM. Setting that to right, it worked.

replace 30 s with 10 (time between redial attempts)
