Doesn't work. When you install version 8 on top of 7 it will ask to upgrade BUT with key and when you put a key it says wrong. sorry, but it is useless.

It worked!

Install version 8 first as trial. Then install version 7 and activate with key. Go back to version 8 and it's activated too.

now we just need to think how to remove 7 and keep 8 working that will take time i think

little tip back up regfile

MmCKeCO.png?1?5526

You are on the right track buddy. THAT IS THE SOLUTION.

HOW TO INSTALL AND REGISTER DEEP FREEZE 8 WITHOUT INSTALLING VERSION 7

  • Install Deep Freeze 8 as "evaluation"
  • Use the good old ZWT keygen to generate your license key.
  • Copy the generated license key and remove all the hyphens ("-")
  • Paste the license key without the hyphens to the registry, as well as the other entries listed in the registry file below.
  • Done! Your Deep Freeze 8 should now be registered and activated.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Faronics\Deep Freeze Enterprise\License]"Key"="INSERTYOURSERIALNUMBERWITHOUTHYPHENSHERE" ; License key generated by the ZWT keygen without the hyphens ("-")"Type"=dword:00000001 ; Will show "License Key Type: Full (Licensed)" in the License dialog box"Expiry"=dword:00000000 ; Will show "Expiry Date: Never Expires" in the License dialog box"ActivationStatus"="1" ; Will show "Activation Status: Activated" in the License dialog box

Credit goes to knowledge.

i ask that as people ask me to make a better fix i can not do no better then what i did program fixed now

Currently, there is no "better" fix. Unless ZWT (or other keygenner) makes a new keygen, the trick you discovered is the best. ^_^ The regfile just makes it a little more easier to use. All credits to you.

Not working with Workstation installation. It will show trial in Workstation installation. Create workstation installation from console then open it and it will say trial. Maybe you can do it for that too.
