Yeah, even without those cosmetics, IDM will still remain the no. 1 choice among download manager. Good UI makes it look classy and is only effective when it works classy.

appearance aren't so important, the point is the performance.

Am not interested in UI that much; the most important thing is it features and been able to meet customer satisfaction;

they serve performance since beginning, its time for design turn to take a part

I really appreciate your friend's design, it looks cool honestly. I also love metro but too much change on that design. I only wish they could just give a template so we could apply that theme rather than changing the default GUI. anyway it looks like that your friend is Indonesian, hehe.

Count me too on this statement. UI really doesn't matter. IDM is no. 1 because of its performance and sleakish look & feel. What happened to once most popular

if you use the most modern performance of windows 8.5 or 9 with user interface of 98s .. how that count, performance and design are the perfect balance in IT development, that makes software deserve a piece of harmony of art code and what drive people feel the entire software and appreciate it more

I think they could go hand and hand ... Back some years ago when they added Aero to the program it caused a bug on my windows 7 machine i never could shake It would freeze up the program when I opened the download window .. So I stayed with and old build for some years tell I got a new machine . After that experience I kind of get paranoid about GUI changes. :D

Nothing is broke and so no one intending to fix it. That's what the title says. The title indicates a change in UI which is not yet official, I guess.

Edit: changes towards affirmative direction are acceptable when it's clean, simple and carries less or same amount of workflow.

it suppose to discuss on appearance.. I don't understand why people are still bother with other thing, I understand the performance is important and all, thats why we have many section..

I am just want to know how it should be.. if appearance is not important, we don't have this beautiful clean forum look , my point here, I want to balance design and code together

, most consumer are not coming from nerd.. -_-

Perfect. Is it official?

No.. its just a concept from IDM Fan.. not from IDM itself..

probably, the IDM will stick the same design in couple of year.. :/
