LjubeGVG
I've formatted my laptop because it was full of everything. It has to GPU, Intel HD 4400 and Nvidia 740m. And then i had this problem no meter which driver i install the nvidia 740m. Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). I've formatted my laptop like 10 times. and I saw when i install Lan driver from asus website i creates a Blue Screen Of death. I've formatted again i didn't install lan driver from asus i left the windows to update the driver and everything was working. played a game for 30 minutes to see if it's ok. then i wanted to watch a movie I've connected my tv via hdmi and the same problem, but when windows starts up blank screen. and you must remove the battery for 5-10 minutes so you can use the laptop.Drivers are latest downloaded from intel.com and nvidia, comI use windows 8.1 pro, Asus x500LBlink from the minidump - https://www.dropbox.com/s/ot25rgjfphu1835/082714-63640-01.dmp?dl=0can it be dust ?thanks for your time, hope i can fix this problem. rudrax
If drivers are fine, then it may be thermal issue. Check the thermal readings of CPU and GPU. If it's overheating, clean the air vents and fan. And DO NOT format your laptop like crazy as it may damage your HDD.
jimbojet2011
I think its a driver matter cause Windows is shutting it down preventing more damage!Try this software: http://drp.su/download.htmGood luck Dude

Zarko
try first to download drivers for you laptop from ASUS and the you can search other solutions EDIT: looks like you tried drivers from ASUS websitemaybe you can also try to install windows 7 and to install windows 7 drivers for it to see whats gonna happen I had issue when playing games with high GPU usage, blue screen crash and I found that GPU cooler was dead and that was reason for crashing and dust is very possible
Kalju
...... I've formatted my laptop like 10 times. Why 10 times? What does this give you?At first wipe all old data - wipe disk or wipe partition (it is sufficient if you write over one time with random data or zeros), then format and that's it.And if there is time, look up, what it means to format disk or drive. So this concludes, there's no thermal issue. So there are two doubts left. Either your hardware relating HDMI has failed/malfunctioning or the driver has some bug. For the first situation, you have to visit service center and for the second, instal latest WHQL driver from Nvidia not from ASUS. The driver should be WHQL certified, which is very important for the latest version of windows.
