beto
Now I'm getting this pop-up window when I try to load "Notifications" or "Messenger" #see attachment.Edit: I don't know if it takes time to show uploaded pictures/screen shots for security reasons, or my attachment did not upload, so here is what the pop-up window is showing:"CalendarDateSelect Error:Prototype could not be found. Please make sure that your application'slayout includes prototype.js (.g.<%=javascript_include_tag :defaults %>) *before* it includesCalendar_date_select.js (.g.<%=Calendar_date_select_includes %>)."Hope that may help to solve this problem
lurch234
Strange how different bugs affect specific users system. I have no problems with spoilers but the problem I posted about not being able to view youtube videos here is still ongoing.Anywhere else I can view them but not here. The only solution I have is to copy paste the title on youtubes site to get to see it...Sorry for the thread hijacking :(

Beasly
It could be that either your browsers or one or more of your addons are blocking frames.
Kalju
This is obviously a problem on your computer. Spoiler is made very simply -the principle is => onclick => show or hide div tag content. This is not a problem or bug of the forum!

I am here trying to solve this problem together. Not to blame the forum for bugs.@Blackchildcx Tried cleaning uninstalling/reinstalling java with JavaRa but it didn't help so far.. beto
Any idea what can be the reason why it is not working here but works in every other site?(I am conscious it is coming from my PC, but what is keeping those spoilers from showing/opening here?)Really really driving me crazy. masterupc
It seems a problem with javascript (not java, that's another thing). Something is messing with it (blocking it) and so that's why it can't be rendered. Check your security applications/plugins/add-ons to verify none of them are blocking javascript.Looking at the code generated by the IP.Board software, the case may be how CSS is being rendered in your end. The spoilers are just a class in a CSS, so the button just performs an action (like a CSS menu without javascript), show/hide the content.I don't have any idea how to fix that... maybe security apps/plugins/add-ons/personal configurations are blocking it from loading... don't know.Good luck. Kalju
NB! You do not need any java, to get this thing to work ! But in your browser must be java enabled.I made one a simple version of the spoiler for testing. See, if it works for your browsers. You can open it here: http://kaljuinfo.ml/spoiler.htmlhttp://kaljuinfo.ml/spoiler.html<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Untitled</title> <link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" href="favicon.ico" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" > </head> <body> <div style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; " > <a id="show_id" onclick= "document.getElementById('spoiler_id').style.display=''; document.getElementById('show_id').style.display='none';" class="link"><b>Spoiler</b> <input id="show-hide" name="button" type="button" value="Show spoiler content" tabindex="1"></a> <span id="spoiler_id" style="display: none"><a onclick= "document.getElementById('spoiler_id').style.display='none'; document.getElementById('show_id').style.display='';" class="link"><b>Spoiler</b> <input id="hide" name="button" type="button" value="Hide spoiler content" tabindex="2"></a> <br> <div style="border: #A8A8A8 1px solid; background-color: #FFFFCC; color: #121215; width: 690px; padding: 10px;"> Spoiler content: This is one simplest code to use spoiler on website.<br> </div> </span> </div> </body> </html> As you can see, here's not used to java, but I do not know how it's done in this forum - java is likely used and then you must have java enabled, but does not need to be installed.
