Basic and Dynamic both support MBR and GPT. GPT is a better choice.

---

Check those drives to see what they contain, then advise if you really need to format/reinstall of just merge your partitions without reinstalling.

your partitions are mess, try first to remove letter from system reserved partition, in this case (F)

if that wont work for you, save what you need from (C:) and reinstall OS, but with windows install USB or DVD delete that (C:) 56.15 GB and (F) 100 MB partitions and create one partition (windows setup will make automatically system reserved partition 100 MB)

only uefi bios can boot from GPT

and i recommend that u do not convert the partition table to basic from ur current OS (boot from usb and run aomei or partition wizard pro extra from an external storage !!! )

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wrote about him having to format, not to convert the partition table. Otherwise yes, you are right.

There ain't nothing wrong, just - really is need to remove the F: drive letter, and everything is OK. I do not recommend to remove this drive, also don't recommend join it with some other drive.

of course nothing is wrong with his drive or os but there r some MBR CODES that would not work on a dynamic disk and only one partition can be primary (bootable PBR)

will try and report back>> :smoke:by the way what should i do...shall i delete that small 100 mb drive(F) ..or should i merge it with c drive ...

and if i merge will it not affect my os files in c drive..and will i be able to use my computer without having to reinstall new os again....

once back in time i tried to merge my c drive (on different machine) with another drive and it led to my hard disk failure....

//www.nsaneforums.com/topic/211981-stuck-at-pre-bios-after-resizing-partition/

so plz suggest me something solid :boxing:

The 100MB partition is created by Win7+ installer and is perfectly normal, just ignore it and move on with your life.

Of course You do not need to do it. And at all, do it really bothers you so much?

Here is my current :

my_disk_zps2c3e9c93.png

the problem is not that frnds....

when i try to use some backup program like...AX64 time machine it shows error (//www.nsaneforums.com/topic/226073-ax64-time-machine-error/)

when i use easytodo backup it says ...program doesnot support your drive.... :wtf:

i cant use acronis true image ( no external hdd + system space low  )

so i am guessing What is happening......?

yep just remove the drive letter because that is a recovery partition ! (and should not be mounted to the OS)

System_Reserved can have a drive letter.. doesn't hurt a thing, unless you accidentally load something into it or delete something.

I'm not familiar with dynamic drives - that's first I've ever seen someone using one. But I do notice it has no drive showing as the Active boot drive & if he changes to simple basic drives suddenly he will have a problem with no Active marked drive. He's got problems he's not going to fix unless something like partitionwizzard is very smart. Too many partitions.

Change a dynamic disk back to a basic disk; pay attention to the notes.

yes of course but that s not a good idea it will be available in that case to be written ! EXP ( by malwars )

any way this partition contain a clean bootable windows recovery that boot in some os failure cases so it s better to not mount it ^^
