jalaffa
K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of components needed for audio and video playback in DirectShow players such as Windows Media Player, Media Center, and Media Player Classic. It contains everything you need to play all common audio and video file formats. It also provides additional functionality such a thumbnail generation in Explorer. The pack has a very advanced installer which is highly flexible and has unique problem solving capabilities.Download

H4rDw4rE
Yes, but not always. If they decide to get sponsor it is ok with me but if they change policy often then something in their heads is not good.It is my opinion only.

The latest K-Lite needs updated DX 11 and there is no update available on MS site, at least for Windows 8.1 x64, which pre-installs DX 11.2. WTF, how would you update to K-Lite 10.6.5 ? Rolling back to CCC.
Knightmare
Is there any point in installing the x64 version of MPC?
Ashish
i have tested all 64 bit media players like vlc, mpc, potplayer and have found virtually no difference in terms of efficiency compared to their 32 bit counterparts.infact some 32 bit variants like zoom player (which is my default video media player) and smplayer are miles ahead of these 64 bit players. Rok
It's PITA K-Lite need DirectX update, where as DX installed on Windows 8.1 x64 is v11.x and MS doesn't show any new updates. What's they want people to install ?
