There are lots of lots of products and trick to do this...... from old DOS to advance encryption...... it totally depend on you what do you want..... I prefer True crypt 7.x... I have made different Encrypted files from 1GB to 600GB, single or hidden volume (hidden volume under hidden volume). It is free, portable and fast as the normal PC work no need to wait to compress or encryption.....I can move my files (even porn) in these container where ever I want and even leave my USBs without any problem.....

Maybe simply just right click, properties, check the hidden box.

Most users on my pc's aren't going to have any reasons to be un-hiding folders.

Just make a folder anywhere on your hd preferable is somewhere into the Windows DIR ( most of the people wont come there ).

Then make it invisible by making it hidden by right clicking and choose hidden.

some people can forgot the path some times and thats a horribly bad thing i if u use this method any one see or know the name of any of ur files can search for them !!!

i didnt get that but if u mean that if they r hidden then yes u can a little EXP + using windows search or an other search engine

the best way to secure any file is so complicated and require more than just an advanced user but the best way for any one usually is to create a partition and lock it using Bitlocker

Whichever software do you use for accomplishing the objective, make sure you make a backup of it, by lets say something like a password protected archive, like zip or rar. The reason I say this is that I have lost a lot of data in past after using one of the famous software for it. The software had stopped working so it was not possible to access that data. That's why, keep a backup for whatever you use.
