AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software.

Thanks to sternog for the update.

Its a known issue for years that anydvdhd needs server access to get decryption keys for blu-rays....your a few yrs or more behind smorrissey. lol

mmmm interesting so you are saying anydvd doesn't work for blu-rays unless you pay? or what is different here?

I've been using anydvd since more than 5 years ago (can't remember exactly) and i've never had a single issue copying discs until today but yeah it has been a while since the last time i copied a blu-ray...generally i have bought them.

I can remember the last time i copied a DVD (a few months ago) but i can't remember the last time i copied a blu-ray....so yeah i think im outdated. Thx for the update.

The trial version of AnyDVD HD will not let you contact the server necessary to access keys for decrypting movies that aren't already contained in the internal local database. This is an intentional limitation of the trial version. (and unfortunately the cracked version, since it needs blocked fron internet to remain cracked) You are dealing with movies that require access to the Slysoft servers be it for AACS decryption or BD+ removal. If you purchase the software then you won't run into the problem. > The BD's you were copying must have been included in AnyDVD HD's internal local database.

Thx for the info LocoJoe yeah it works like windvd pro 11 you need to update the keys for playing.

LOL so all this time all these cracks have been about cracking the trial not making it full......

Still i'm not getting something....why to create a new crack for a new trial version each time it gets released one which is static? (same internal local database). what is the point?

and 2 years of this software cost 80 euros? :s I'm glad i don't copy blu-rays everyday.

Wish there were other alternatives though.

So, you should wait till they finally add that specific BD into the program's offline DB, or maybe consider buying it. ;)

(...) (and unfortunately the cracked version, since it needs blocked fron internet to remain cracked)

Once cracked, the program will remain absolutely intact, even if you don't block it from ie. access. Slysoft didn't implemented any anti-crack server check so far, but just internal tricks regarding the protection itself (integrity checks, anti-debuggers, etc.), and the occasional update checks, to aiding in the pirate keys blacklisting process.

Hey Sentry one question: the internal local database of the trial software gets updated with each anydvd new build then?

Yes, every time they make a new release (whether it be final or beta), they incorporate the latest changes into them. So, you could still try with latest beta versions, to see if they finally added your current "Cosmos" BD into the supported BD's list, or at least made a workaround (though these last one usually comes as "last minute" updates, though the aforementioned online updating system).

I own anydvdhd (have for yrs now) but I don't use it to rip or copy dvd's or blu-rays....I use it to decrypt during playback in xbmc. I have no need to copy anything. :)
