Beamslider
VPN or not I think the Police don't care. Not something they usually bother themselves with. It is between the bank and the card holder. Bank should be responsible for the unauthorized use.
Blackchildcx
Thats exact what I was telling her...The Police was to lazy to investigate such a thing and told her a story....I guess its true...If the thief used a VPN its imposible to get him cause 1. No one cares..2. He is private ...thanx...!

Luaine
Why don't bank block the card immediately after complaint ? Edited July 21, 2014 by maxyyyy
mastershake
the bank should have IMMEDIATELY stopped allowing it to be used if she did report it stolen. once she reports it stolen the bank is responsible if the card continued to be used. but the moment the car was reported it should have been blocked and not allowed to be used. the previous charges that were fraud she needs to call her bank and tell them of EACH charge and say she needs to dispute those due to her card being stolen and used without her permission. they may ask for it in writing but they should help her.ive had this happen once and it was very quick and easy to get it all handled. kaloo1995
once she has informed the bank and blocked the card, it's bank's responsibility.police would not go after piddly sums.
espns
Seems more of the Bank having lazy employees to block it than the Police :rolleyes:The Government or its worker doesn't really care about the Public. In India we have everything acknowledged from the bank every paper has a xeorox which the bank acknowledges in such scenario its useful to fight in the court of law :showoff:

Blackchildcx
She blocked the card very quick, but it seems that You can still buy online stuff from some sources!
mastershake
then there is a issue with the bank. plain and simple. if she blocked the card and the bank killed the number there is zero way to buy anything it would get declined plain and simple. i worked with pos systems and in that industry for a long time trust me. then the bank did not do the proper job of blocking the card if anyone was still able to buy stuff. if the bank didit correctly every time they tried to use the card it would be declined. Beamslider
With debit card or credit card the merchant doesn't get the money immediately. The merchant gets an authorization number from the system for the debit or charge. Once this happens the merchant will get paid as they have the authorization from the bank provided that the merchant followed the correct security procedures. The bank is out the money not the merchant or the card holder. The bank authorized the transaction Edited July 24, 2014 by Beamslider
