baud_bull
Hi folks,I installed Eset nod32 on my vista sp1 computer. the installation went fine, however I was not able to run the fix. I read the instructions on the read me file and disabled smart defense and rebooted the portable.I tried running the fix but it said that the smart defense is still running, so I disable the entire program and removed it from startup items as well just to make sure it doesn't start up on next reboot but still no go.I checked services however didn't find my smart defense service associated with Eset no32 on services.msc screen.I am unable to update the program. Can anybody suggest next course of action..Thanks in advance. mara-
You need to "Run as Administrator" the fix on Vista if your UAC is not disabled.Cheers :P

Rock Lee
No problem. If you used nodenabler the explaination will be shorter. If you used nodlogin then the explaination will be a bit longer. I dont have a problem with explianing either of the two but if it was something like MiNod Im not familiar with it...
