smallhagrid
I've tried a fork of the Popcorn Time app and it works very well (except for its VPN).Found an older movie I really want to keep on hand and it was fine when watching in-app.Later, opened the MP4 left in the cache and tried to play it again - but the volume is so low as to be useless - otherwise it is fine.Is there a simple/quick (portable ??) app of some sort that will raise the volume and re-save the file after fixing it - something that has only that ability, perhaps ??Thanks for any helpful replies !! Army-Spy
If you're using VLC Media Player, then there's a workaround to overcome the low volume issue though it's only temporary fix. (an option to increase the Audio Pitch tone to some extent) :yes:To use this, Navigate to Tools --> Effects & Filters --> Compressor Tab --> Tick Enable --> Increase the make-up Gain Bar indent as per your listening requirements. :)

smallhagrid
Thanks for the replies folks.I have the MP4 file that I wish to alter & save for later viewing again.I am asking for pointers to a quick easy sort of app I can use to fix the super-quiet volume in that file.Might be that I need to do this for more than just one file if Popcorn Time makes this problem always...Thanks.EDIT:OK, so I got the file twice via Popcorn Time and both were corrupted somehow. The easiest way I found to change the volume was a portable video editor - but both versions of the file made it hang where the files were corrupted. The movie I really want is 'Hook' from 1991 or so and I'd get it at Redbox - but its too old & they don't have it.I lost my copy of the DVD and want to watch it again.Being able to get it minus corruption and so it can be heard would be great bonuses !!!
