jalaffa
The Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility installs Windows INF files to the target system. The INF files inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality, such as AGP, USB, Core PCI, and ISAPNP services. This software can be installed in three modes: Interactive, Silent and Unattended Preload. Interactive Mode requires user input during installation; Silent Mode and Unattended Preload do not. This software also offers a set of command line flags, which provide additional installation choices. The command line flags are not case sensitive. Jota.Ce
You should put what chipsets are this drivers for...I usually check INF Update for Centrino and latest version for that is from Jun/08Last version for me (965 Express):http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_res...mp;submit=Go%21Suported Chipsets:http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Des...al&lang=engI'd like if you could confirm (with an intel link) those new drivers are for my laptop chipset too. I've seeing what's inside the ZIP and it seems it would be valid.And... is there any "EXE update" link instead of "ZIP update" (in which you also have to execute some setup, EXE is straightforward)
shought
@Jota.CeThe installer will give an error if your chipset is not supported, so don't worry ;)There's no EXE update  I've been looking for it forever as well :s Ah well.

Jota.Ce
There's no EXE update ;) I've been looking for it forever as well :dance2: Ah well. But there is one for the old drivers from Jun/08...And why aren't these drivers put on intel's official page (even for modern chipsets) ? If i'm wrong i'd like to see them on a link.

Jota.Ce
************************************************************* Product: Intel® Chipset Device Software* Release: Production Version* Version: 9.0.0.1008* Target Chipset#: Intel® 4 Series Chipset* Date: May 01 2008************************************************************************************************************************* Product: Intel® Chipset Device Software* Release: Production Candidate* Version: 9.1.1.1011* Target Chipset#: Intel® 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset.* Also supports 5000/7000/5500/X58 Series Chipsets* Date: April 09 2009************************************************************Production Version vs. Production Candidate, it's not the same thing, that's why it's not in their drivers page.I don't know why target chipset is changed between versions. I've installed it and it seems to install only 2 things for me "High Precision Event xxx" and "Intel 82801 PCI bridge", maybe it's not designed primarily for my chipset (though i saw INF files for my 965, but they are as old as 9.0 version and it might cause that installer doesn't update those drivers).
