Mega.co.nz. It gives 50 GB Free usage. Once downloaded delete the movie from that site. You will get 50GB again.

http://www.bittorrent.com/sync
this.
no limits in file size or bandwidth other than the actual connection speed of both parties.

and speaking of parties, no third parties involved either. so make sure to bring the beers

  • Which the hell, why should a movie be a 48GB or even bigger?
  • Explain a little bit, why is good to have so large movie files?

Maybe think about installing an ftp server like Filezilla on your computer. 48gb is HUGE for most people to download.

Needs a not so cheap SD card too - shame to be lost or otherwise not returned.

If feasible, just hand him the files on a external drive - much safer and quicker (for data transfer.) Uploading & downloading can get quite costly - depending on the plan.

I second that. Unless, the person you are planning to share sits on corporate network, it's definitely going to be a costly affair as well as PITA involving so much headache with downloading (lost connection, resuming etc.).

HFS by rejetto, depending on if you can leave your computer online during the night. and if they have a program like IDM on there end.

HFS will make your computer http file server, there end just like a webpage, just right click and add to IDM or whatever downloader they like.

once they have selected the files they can leave their computer and it will upload from yours to theirs.

Im with dcs18 on this one, external drive/usb key....

My five cents worth in addition is that most ISP's would quickly identify such a large data transfer and they could possibly send you a notice over it. I dont know about the rest of the world, but most ISPs here have clauses in their agreements that forbid the running of a server or service from your personal ISP account and IP, and transmitting that much data (which i consider ludicrous for a private person just quietly) could be said to be under this heading. If they also notice the content, well, you could find yourself with a breach notice, and at worst a closed account, due to them being movies and a breach of copyright.

Just throwing it out there.

Why wouldnt you just buy a 64Gb USB for next to nothing and mail it.....some people seem to want to do everything the long and hard way.....

awww does that even matters in this  be little understandable and mature on net/forums ;)

.. btw i read it as movieS only but some how the 's' wont got typed when posting the comment.(may be because before comment i readed kalju comment just above mine) so that movie word flash through mind while posting. And there wont be any single 48 gigs movie it will be bunch of movies together..common sense :/

@ topic.... its all depend on the person & the net speed,,,if he/she able to download it then it should be uploaded to any host...but as said the friend is not too much computer savvy then better will be that sd card option

I was once called in to the customs opening a package in their presence. It contained like 150 used floppy discs containing all the latest scene releases for the Amiga computer. Those where the days. :)
