GG_Empire
If I buy MSI GT20 2PE-1616NE laptop, and if I want to clean install Windows 7 into it (it becomes with Windows 8.1 pre-installed), do I have to configure something, why I ask is that this laptop has 256 Gb SSD MSI Super RAID and I assume that it needs some configuring to get it work like it should. It's not like HDD though. Edited July 7, 2014 by GG_Empire

jimbojet2011
GG,I believe there is nothing to configure. And if you are using the raid configuration ( which wont give you more speed ) because the SSD is fast enough.Just get rid of the raid and enjoy the speed of a SSD in his natural installation.Just start from DVD and finish installingGood luck Dude Edited July 7, 2014 by jimbojet2011
dcs18
There is a strong possibility that your drive might be formatted to GPT - before the installation, you might probably need to reformat it to MBR if you are planning on running Windows 7. Smoore
All drivers are available from the manufacturers website. If you have a legally purchased copy of 7 and buy a new laptop ask if they can install 7 for you or recommend a place to do it for you. Can't be that expensive

Chancer
Dos was pretty quick - but I prefer a useable GUI - so I'll stick with Win 8.
