Cerberus' new patch added to the listing. To be honest I have no clue about the usefulness of this software in these times. You stream the stuff to your viewing device of course. Why burn a DVD? For grandmothers and the like?

Well in this side of the world people still use DVDs to watch movies. So it's useful for me.

Here is new v6.5 patch for convertxtodvd5 and for video converter....they changed some code so had to adjust for it...regged with NO watermark...tested by me. Remember it was the 4th of July weekend so most of us took a break. lol

Sadly so have CX5 become a never-ending beta. It's really sad 2 see since v4 was really 'stable'.

Let me clearify what probably happened....vso did make it final for one day but retracted it back to beta for they are not done with it yet for it to be called a final. This is why in the heading it does not say beta. It is a beta and the ol official release of final is .12. This wasn't anyones fault here but vso making the mistake and then retracting it. A new beta should be released soon anyways. ;)

Latest beta version 5.2.0.7:
http://download2.vso-software.fr/vsoCon ... _2_0_7.exe

Latest official version on ConvertXtoDVD product page:
version 5.1.0.12 http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

This is from there forum....video converter is final but not convertxtodvd yet.

Also if you downloaded this before july 5th then it is broken....redownload new convertxtodvd 5 (they kept same version number 5207) is what they said on vso forum.

Because some people like to watch movies on large TV`s ... but of course you need a DVD player connected to the TV.

I have!

I'm sorry, but I am confused... Is this, http://anonymz.com/?http://download2.vso-software.fr/vsoConvertXtoDVD5_setup5_2_0_7.exe, the lastest version to download?

i.e. I installed this version. When I try to set "DVD Resolution" to "Automatic" the setting is not retained? There might be other stuff. Is this just me?

Thx for confirming this! I was just trying to find the latest version to download. I re-read the thread here and am still not sure.

One specific issue I had with a film, Noah 2014, I tried adding these subtitles, http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search/sublanguageid-eng/idmovie-164186, and

ConvertXtoDVD kept barfing. Someone at that site vouched for the subtitles, but I could not get ConvetXtoDVD to take any of them?

Best way to handle this conversation I think is to just wait for next beta...hopefully released tomorrow.

Not trying to sound rude or anything but this is totally the wrong place to post a log file for vso software. You will get better results if you become a member of their forum and then post log so they can see what is wrong and possibly create a fix for it. Here you will get no answers.

Note: I would use a different username and email for registering on their forum. ;)

Try this new beta...you wont find it on their forum unless you look real hard but being the person I am...I am sharing. See if this corrects some issues that you are facing...

http://oasis.vso-software.fr/Beta/CXToDVD/vsoConvertXtoDVD5_setup_5.2.0.8b.exe

(the wrong icon is used for the software and it will be corrected soon too,)
this is just a temporary quick fix version...

The beta should be released to all very soon like it says above....its just for testing purposes.

I told you a new beta was coming. ;)

Patch v6.5 still works with the unofficial beta by the way...stays regged and NO watermark...just tested myself. :)

Thx for the beta! I still can't select "Video Resolution" and get my choice to "stick". What about you?

I did a thorough uninstall via Revo Uninstaller [and some work of my own] before installing the beta. It appears as if the issues I was getting before during conversion are gone. I'll report back when conversion is done and I've had a chance to watch some of it to double-check for water-marks

EDIT: Conversion successful! No water-marks! Can't be sure if it was the thorough uninstall/reinstall or beta or a little bit of both. Heh

@Cerebus, thx for all your time and effort!

I just installed v5.2.0.9 [beta] [got it from http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/10731502/ConvertXtoDVD_5.2.0.9_[bETA]___Patch_[sWEG] ]. I still can't get "DVD Resolution" setting to "stick"? I change it, click on "OK", and then go back and it's stuck on "Full D1......." or whatever. Can anyone else test/confirm this? It's really annoying! LOL
