KIS 2015 MR1 beta, Force update, KIS 2015 MR1 beta

Hi,

One of new features of KAV/KIS 2015 is Force Update - this feature does possibility to get new version of our product by minimal user participation.

There is case to test it (and update to 2015 MR1 beta):

1. Download 2015 MR0 build from:
http://devbuilds.kas....0.0.0en-US.exe
2. Setup 2015 MR0 build.
3. Wait 3h 15m from product first launch.
4. After 3h 15m will ended, update downloader must be automatically started. You can understand it by creation "Setup" folder in ...\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\ , where download of updater will started.
5. As soon, as updater will downloaded update message window will opened (draft for now). It have two buttons "Update" and "Not now"
6. Press "Update" button.
7. Confirm EULA and KSN agreements.
8. Update will started in silent mode.
9. As soon, as update will finished, in problem list field you can see message about restart needed.
10. Restart your machine, make sure launched version is updated one.

Important note!
This iteration contain only KIS build, KAV will accessed to test later.

Therru it's still beta MR1 not RC release candidate....better you use TR 2015 date code 24 june 2014..or Bangladesh KIS final version as on my locked post or

me, personally haven't ever met guy with special knowledge with Kaspersky Product so far, play around since KIS version 6.0

well maybe tr was the best way, but im currently working on an application to update keys if previous key got kicked.

consider it like Nod32 key finder, whenever key blocked you pause protection, run the application and new key will install.

i just want to know how long the key survive.

It was an issued in 2014 release also, that's the reason I didn't installed it. The final version is nearby so lets us see, if they fine tune this lagging issue.

Kaspersky products are very good... only a litle annoyings.

I love to test programs, so a week ago I decided to install KIS 2014 and then KIS 2015(15.0.0.463).

What can I say? I like programs that do their job quietly, without teasing me and does not require repeated settings from the user.

If I want to block a program with Norton Firewall, I got to do only 2-3 clicks. With Kaspersky Firewall is a real nuisance.

I don't want to discourage those who want to try Kaspersky products, but I would recommend first to to give a chance testing Norton too. I'm sure they will like it more.

I want my AV to detect real malware, not my cracks and clean files as W.S reputation 1, Norton is garbage.

You're absolutely right! Norton view many clean files as threats. Put the folder where you keep your cracks to exclusions list, and Norton will never scan them. Temporarily stop the antivirus as long as you use them to activate a program. If Norton detect later a file as threat, you can restore that file from Quarantine and put it to exclusions list.
By the way! The Romans had a proverb:”De gustibus et coloribus, non disputandum”. ;)
