Rok
Grabbed it. The slim installer though at first didn't start, but after retrying it was installed. However, the installation show success, but the test page of shockwave player doesn't show animation. I have tried both the slim and full versions. Rok
I am wondering even after four times installation of both the slim and full version, their test page still doesn't show animation on Chrome and Internet Explorer 11 running on Windows 8.1 Update 1. Has anyone else tested shockwave player after installing it ?

Kalju
In cases, if you have adobe auto update enabled, it may already be installed, and then you do get always this result. This has been always so if install Shockwave Player and it's already updated.Of course, you can download this installer using Chrome, Firefox, etc., and then try again. But if the result is the same, check out, what version You have already installed.

But, on this laptop, I had not installed Shockwave player earlier, so I did that this time, and it's PIA getting it work. I have never ever faced so much issues in 32 years for such tiny software. This has become bone of contention.
