mazigh Posted June 1, 2014 Share Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) About the wastage of your 23 GB towards a Recovery partition - here is what I would personally do:--I would backup my existing copyWould then boot using the latest Acronis Disk Director BootCDRight-clicking the partition that costs 23 GBsDeleting it so that the partition becomes Unallocated SpaceRight-clicking the Unallocated Space and then clicking Create a partitionIn the partition-creating-wizard ensuring NTFS is selectedEnsuring also that D is allotted to the driveDo check back after you have traveled this far - you are living on the edge with one single system partition and so many other Recovery partitions - sign of many blotched installations. :(do this look better i used AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional Edition 5.5 i don't know about first problem for shadow defenderbut i can talk about the second one for ur harddisk partitions1 - if the laptop already work so i recommend that u downloadMiniTool® Partition Wizard Home Edition 8.1.1from here so easy and all steps for how to use are in the official site2 - this pieces with BLACK color labeled unallocated will not shows in ur harddriveu must creat it first by right click creat partition and choose ntfs >>>>>>> till the endu can make this from diskmanagement itself if u want3 - also ur partition C contains all the hard disk space i know it is new laptopand most of laptops come with only 1 partitionso u can make shrink for it why ? to creat another partition for ur private data not to lose ur dateif u install new windows or what ever happend how ?tight click on the partition C choose shrink it will give u the available space to shrinkand then follow the stepschoose ntfs - logical if u can not primary - and finishu can make this also from disk management itselfi'm sorry i write to much but really i had to help as much as i cani didn;t like to see all this psace go for nothing in ur new laptopthanks mate2 - this pieces with BLACK color labeled unallocated will not shows in ur harddriveu must creat it first by right click creat partition and choose ntfs >>>>>>> till the endu can make this from diskmanagement itself if u want (do i need two do this )You can do it using Disk Management Only, MiniTool Partition Wizard is recommended because it's advanced and maybe easier to use, BTW I think you should shrink your HDD to C with a space between 100 GB and 200 GB and the rest for D partition Edited June 1, 2014 by mazigh Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SD protects the hidden EFI system partition automatically. and threshold space of this partition should be ignored. I will fix it in the next version.
