How do you protect from viruses from a pen drive when it is connected to a public computers and then to your pc?

Once you mature into a Pro - you can start deploying these tweaks to your Customers, through Group Policies - personally, I prefer to use a multi-layered approach.

ok when we use short cut virus remover short cut will be deleted

but all the data will be in the short cut then how to access that files

it creates new folder, all your files will be in new folder, sry bad english :)

Simplest method ive used for over a decade (which has been posted every time someone posts some bs "usb drive security" software):

On the usb pen/harddrive, create a folder named autorun.inf

That simple

No disabling autorun universally

No registry hacks

No extra bs software needed.

@stylemessiah...I remember when you posted that suggestion, and I followed your advice and I have had no problems with my Pen Drive. I thanked you then, and I thank you again for your tip. :showoff: :showoff: :showoff:

Now if only the majority of posters in this thread who seem to persist in thinking you need some bit of bs software to protect yourself would get on board......never seen a thread so full of people trying to do things the long (and hard) way around...
