dcs18
How good is the Import/Export settings feature in ESET Smart Security? It works fine as long as it is used amongst different builds, within the same version - but should not be intermixed between the V4 and V7 (as already mentioned - the settings may conflict due to non-matching, new features.) TheEmpathicEar
"Eset fix.exe" is ideally started BEFORE installation? Next, you follow the prompting from the app. What happens if ESET flags during installation. Do you get a chance to decline the "Quarantine" action [before its quarantined]? Do you get a chance to decline the "Quarantine" action [before its quarantined]?Given this particular scenario, at the very beginning stage of your new ESS installation process - you receive the option of enabling or disabling the detection of potentially unwanted/unsafe applications. As a careful worker, I disable this option from the drop-down menu (just so that the box, mara- fix is not flagged) and after the installation, activation and updating process is complete, I reboot to reconfigure my ESET anew. And, where can I find it?EDIT: Let's clarify this.1.Trial Reset - box, mar-fix 1.8 or "Eset fix.exe". Is simply a trial reset?2. PureFix v2.03 works differently. dcs18
I'm curious. Has anyone else use this on this latest version of ESET?We stopped using this fix after it's creator PurplebeanZ stopped development - I am pleasantly surprised that it worked. :dunno:It is similar to the box, mara- fix (which was also coded in collaboration with PurplebeanZ.)
