i have all of those systems on my hard drive (GPT) after the first part of the installation of os x there is a lot of troubleshooting and that depend on the source of the installation image that u have (there are a lot of tuto on youtube so u should see them or the forums of the creator of the method

Just an heads-up, it's increasingly common to find software working on Windows 8.1 Update - but, not on XP.

Not sure about Games as I don't play them on my system - maybe, someone else might throw light on this part. :dunno:

Few years ago, I had to switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 64 bit after PC upgrade.

Because Windows 7 64 bit had more advantages then Windows XP.

64 bit -> more than 4 GB RAM adressing and can now use harddisks more than 2 TB.

Directx11 vs Directx 9 (you see the difference in games like in Company Of Heroes).

Can now use higher version of Internet Explorer then in Windows XP

Support for SSD (trim) in Windows 7.

!!! to use more than 2 TB HD u need a uefi bios (to boot from that drive not to use it)

Motherboard must support UEFI And you must have a 64 bit O.S. (Windows 7 and higher).

my first system (lol) basic

then there whas a new big jump (ibm without harddisk and pure dos)

the harddisk came out (wow , first harddisk was 10 mb big) dos and dos shell

and then windows cames out. did used all of them all from start until now.(old times (lol) memmaker - quemm and so on)

and loved windows .started with big tiles and the newer windows became the smaller they came (icons - tiles)

and now whe get ultra big tiles (lol) where whe will not see them to start with as soon windows next version comes out the tiles will be more to play with.

with the new big start button (startscreen within the startbutton) so windows 3.1 and windows 8.1 are not that different .

but i still love windows. so from xp to windows 7 is not that much (jump) but it goes the good dirction towards the windows 8.2 - windows 9 (what they predict to be the xp slayer)

sorry for the bad englisch (dutch guy from Belgium)
