Thank you for the link, just one question and that is, their website http://www.farstone.com/software/restore-it.php offers Winxp version as well and the download size is 280 MB.

Just want to make sure that the link u provided is clean like the link for Win 7&8, not patched or cracked. The file name for Winxp version has RIT-2014b-GM-ML-20140114-NoPE.exe : so i will assume it does not contain the Winpe plugin. Then does the 280 MB file contain the Winpe plugin. ?

Sorry downloaded the Win7&8 version so the file size is 280 MB for Winxp as well. Downloading now.

I thing i want to know is , will the serial work for the Winxp version as well.

After files extraction and prior software installation, you are advised to input details including license key. It was successfully installed and worked perfectly.

I just don't know whether it allows you to uninstall or reinstall it again at later stage. There may be limitations which I am not sure!

Just backup this files: "VFsActivation" and "VFsRegister" to another. You'll find them at:

With Windows XP: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\FarStone\

With Windows 7,8,8.1: C:\Users\Public\Documents\FarStone

Some questions about Restore IT 2004 for WinXp:

1) It doesn't allow the snapshot to be deleted.

2) It created a secure zone around 45 GB (default was 22 GB), which is huge.

3) It took terribly long time to boot to Recovery Environment.

4) The program looks really low on quality.

5) I initially had a problem on the restart. I choose Custom Install and choose to Restart later. This gave me a problem stating, it changed the boot configuration, so i had to restore the mbr from the WinXp disc. Did a second install and left the default choice and restarted, which made the program run smoothly.

RollBackRx outshines RestoreIT in virtually every department (imo), and i am seriously considering whether to switch back to RollBackRx.

Since i was going ethical with RestoreIT and RollBackRx is never on the Giveaway board, except to using a patch.

Can someone suggest me, which should i prefer in terms of longitivity, performance and stability.

Thank you for your patience.

Just did a test and found that after restore, it doesn't just revert the changes made to the system partition but to the entire hard disk, and i did this many times over. What a piece of junk , what were the Farstone people thinking when they made this.

Dam i wasted so many bandwidth downloading this crap, it was almost good. Did anyone notice this.

:wtf:
