OrbingStorm

Cool,my trend micro is just about up after a year and keeps nagging me to buy it again but its a bit expensive and their hard line popup renewal adds have pushed me away.

software182

Why don't they just make the software freeware instead

they did, they have free edition for one of their AV

I don't get you guys. If they don't make giveways, they are greedy, if they give away their software to users who can't afford it, they are cheap. Are you ever happy?

Norton is just a shadow of what they were in the past, today it's Bitdefender/Kasperskyif you have a good computer, Emsisoft/Outpost if you have an medium PC, not new but not old either, or Eset / Webroot, if you have an old PC.

Ps. it's just my opinion.

Yes , remove Norton and you`ll be happier and safer with your PC - there are much better alternatives (BitDefender , Kaspersky , ESET , or even free ones - ex. avast! )

BitDefender again :showoff:

It seems they lost quite lot of customer and trying to regain the trust from new customer or their ex customer though giveaway like this :s

BD's engine is good, pretty good actually since many Av vendor use BD's engine, however the AV it self it's quite buggy for me <_<

Well of course it's only my opinion, thanks for sharing the giveaway :)

don't wanna to hijacking & take a part of a holy war but have something to say.first of all it's hard to full remove Norton from system & you guys forgot one more great antivirus by Symantec-Symantec Endpoint Protection.it's free for home usin' (didn't find any information about illegality of it) & defendin' just great .one nuance about it-should to be tuned pretty carefully.

it's just personal opinion but hope it was helpful.
