AI RoboForm Enterprise 7.9.5.9 Final

After installing and patching with the front page patch, the program initially shows as a registered version, after the first reboot it shows as an expired trial. I have installed and uninstalled several times, cleaned the registry. but get the same results every time.

I wonder if anybody else is having issues, or maybe I have done something wrong.

The patch says it worked, but then the program says the .dll file that was patched digital signature is not verified.

I would truly appreciate any guidance anybody could lend, as I have exhausted my very limited knowledge and skills.

Also there is a licence file that does not get patched in c:\program data\roboform, I have even tried deleting and pathcing that file.

Running W8.1 with all the latest updates.

Thanks in advance if anybody can lend any assistance. Any input would be appreciated, as I am always trying to learn.

I use 7.9.6.6 version with patch, but I do not find it a problem...

reinstall again, do not run [exit in taksbar] turn off antivirus and try to patch... :showoff:

Thank you for the advice SabotaSe, but I have already tried that.

The funny thing is even the old version that I had working previously will not work now, so I am thinking that there is some registry entry or hidden file causing me grief, but I surely cannot find it.

mmm,, so, I think you should use any plugins, search in the browser stores or save password when browser ask "remember password".. ;) :showoff:

  • Re-install
  • Do not reboot
  • Exit from TaskBar
  • Before patching run your fav. Task Manager to ensure that RoboTaskBarIcon.exe (or any other related RoboForm process) is not running as a background process
  • Patch
  • Reboot even if you had not prompted to
  • Report back

Thank you for the great advice dcs18 and northboun. I was definitely running the patch as admin and I checked to make sure both files were patched, so that is not the issue, but it is a great thought.

going to step through the dcs steps now and report back.

I love how the great folks on this site give of their time, expertise and skills to help out us noobs, so a big blanket thank you to all.

Re-install, 7.9.6 (file from from front page), funny though I had to go through the whole master password thing twice, like it was installing twice (and a third time on rebbot)
■Do not reboot, done
■Exit from TaskBar, right click and exit from taskbar
■Before patching run your fav. Task Manager to ensure that RoboTaskBarIcon.exe (or any other related RoboForm process) is not running as a background process, no related processes were running
■Patch, done succesfully
■Reboot even if you had not prompted to, was not prompted still did a manual reboot
■Report back

the desktop and then master password install boxes show up again after reboot, filled out again

roboform icon shows up the taskbar as a gray icon with an x in it, the help about shows as expired trial version

under roboform file, the patched .dll file shows up and so does the patched license file

I tried installing with process monitor running, but there are simply too many registry entries to sort through. Does anybody have any idea how to determine the correct registry entry, or even what format an entry might take if installing a trial version.

Thanks in advance.

In your RoboForm Options, when you navigate to User Data - is the My RoboForm Data path correct?

If not, click Set Folder and then browse to set the correct My RoboForm Data path.

I think that you are on to something here DCS, every time I go to the desktop value and then options the path is blank, even if I just set it, but in the everywhere option the path is filled in correctly. And every time that I put the path in something deletes it the next time I check the desktop, but the everywhere is still there.

Unfortunately I do not know how to fix this.

Thanks again for all your great input and help DCS, I am hoping that you can get me through this mess, because I simply do not have the knowledge or experience to do it on my own.

On the face of it, RoboForm Everywhere sounds good and folks seem to desire it since it's something that others need to pay for. However, from the :pirate: :pirate: practical point of view, RoboForm Everywhere transfers the physical control of the PassCards (encrypted data) from the User to the Cloud which is something that I hate from the privacy point-of-view.

In case you'd like to regain physical control of your PassCards (encrypted data) - I'd suggest navigating to your RoboForm Options >> User Data >> Synchronization >> Settings >> (tick / enable) Desktop >> Next >> (enter your Master password if you're asked to - once or perhaps even twice) >> OK.

I again thank you for all that you are doing DCS, but I was not clear in my communication. Everywhere works initially, but reverts back to expired trial after first reboot, but still shows the correct path. Desktop always shows expired trial, even though the patch is successful.

Really confusing, especially when I add in the fact that I put in a cloned hard drive of the existing drive, but before any installations of RoboForm, and the patch worked perfectly. 7.9.6 would have been the second or third installation on this machine so something in one of the previous installations must be hanging up the process.

Thanks again for all your time, energy and guidance DCS, it is really appreciated.

Would you be interested in downloading my RoboForm files which are duly patched and activated - the download size would be around 19 MBs?

That is very kind of you DCS, but I am such a noob, I am not sure what you mean. The files I am using come from the front page listings on this forum. But I now think that I know what happened. I previously used a version from TARE which worked great, but when I updated from V 7.9.3.3 everything stopped working, and I cannot even go back to the previously working V 7.9.3.3, I get all the same errors.

So in short, yes, I would like to DL your files, just to see what happens, but would it not be the same as what is listed on the front page?

I am very willing to try and find a solution, and you are being incredibly kind in offering your assistance.

It's a derivation of the file on the FrontPage - only the latest 7.9.6.7

You've got PM (since those files were personal) - please do report back, here (all the best.) :)

And just a thought DCS, but I have a HDD with RoboForm on it and working (the problem with using that HDD is that I would have to update all my other files). So if you can tell me the files and other stuff that I need to copy over, I could certainly do that.

Thank you very much DCS, you are definitely on the hero list for NSANE

I have DLed your files.

I will uninstall my RoboForm using revo uninstaller, clean registry with registry first aid, do a new install and use your files.

Will report back when done.
