Anyone know how to disable those bundle notification thingies that started appearing with 3.4.1? And also how to make the torrents as thin as they were prior to 3.4.1?

On a side note, I've finally decided that if I can't disable those baloon ads, I'm going back to 2.2.1. Sad how uTorrent's biggest advantage became its worst drawback.

Anyone knows how to disable those annoying popup balloon notifications?

Of course I have "Show balloon notifications in tray" unchecked, but it keeps showing them anyway.

It's too bad uTorrent has to include Adware in its installer but they have to make money somehow.

Have been beta-testing the 3.4.1 - never came across any of those issues mentioned, so far.

I believe that one was not judicious while installing the same. :think:

How to disable uTorrent Ads:
- Click on Options > Preferences > Advanced.
- Copy "offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled" and paste it on Filter.
- Change value to "False".
- Do the same for: "gui.show_plus_upsel" and "offers.left_rail_offer_enabled"
- Click OK then restart uTorrent.
- Enjoy it.

There's a slight mistake in this particular entry - the correct entry is:--

Run Setup =>

During Setup: Avoid offers to install free software you do not want.

After Setup: to turn Pushed Content OFF (in current uTorrent and Bittorrent versions, these settings are the same) ...

Uncheck in Options: 'Show Plus Information' and 'Show Bundles' (in older versions: 'Show Featured Content').

Disable ads by going to Options, Preferences, Advanced.

Filter for 'offer' and 'gui'. Set- or keep following items set to *false:

•• 'offers.content_offer_autoexec': (this auto-executes signed 'Featured Torrent' content with autoexec flag)

•• 'offers.content_offer_url': (Used to test install-time content offers)

•• 'offers.left_rail_offer_enabled': (enables-disables new 'Offers' (Ads) by Bittorrent Inc.-located at the left pane)

••! 'offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled': (enables-disables new 'Offer'-Featured Torrents at the top of main view)

•• 'gui.show_plus_upsell': (= 'Show Plus Information' in 'Plus' box on the sidebar)

•• 'gui.show_notorrents_node': (shows a page in the sidebar when no torrents are loaded).

Backup versions of installed 'uTorrent.exe' yourself, if you like to avoid having to run setup-files again.

This really has been sufficient for me, [and the main source is utorrent help by the way], but I see that RobrPatty makes an even bigger job of cutting out crap. :coolwink:

Just for the record: I prefer Bittorrent to uTorrent these days.
