He thanks, how does that work anyway? I thought when you add stuff to the hosts file it blocks those IP's, but here it seems to be the other way around..

As you can see, at the beginning of each line there is no localhost or the regular IP 127.0.0.1 for it, so what is done there is tricking the computer associating a domain name with a particular IP address (in the hosts file), if you for example don't have a real DNS, you could reach the domain name anyway since the regular DNS will be bypassed, if the line would begin with 127.0.0.1, you would redirect all attempts to your own computer, which will be used to block stuff.

That's the good news ....

Now the bad news Sad

It will be at least another 24 hours before the DNS will be back up.

So hang in there and if I learn anymore I will post an update.

I will also be keeping the blog updated also. Wink"
