funkyy
I saw the first 3 movies (IV, V, VI) in the cinema when they came out. I "liked" them, but never really "loved" them. When Lucas released the next batch of three I think he concentrated on visual effects so much that he totally forgot about things like suspense, surprise, shock, cliffhanging drama..the ingredients of great cinema. I watched the second 3 movies, but overall I found them boring...which is sad 'cos I wanted them to be good. Hopefully the next ones will remember to be "movies" and not only part of a successful franchise. And I agree with what you say about episode1 totally. funkyy
I had a look at the Blog in question...boy is that a long read!! I managed about 75% of it, but I get his points nonetheless about story order. I took little brothers and sisters to see the first movie and they loved it...me? I had just seen "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" the same afternoon and it was more my idea of a great movie!!! <_< <_< <_<

funkyy
Nice jackieo...God, ain't technology wonderful? I played with plastic toy soldiers, wind up train set (that went in a circle), Chad Valley Show Projector, bicycle, then electric train set etc etc when I was a youngster. Now the kids have XBox, Playstation, internet....makes you think how lucky THEIR kids are gonna be with what comes next.
