Let me guess, they claim not to harvest your personal data....

Lets see, open up your computer to more unknown processes...hang on, isnt that malware

Its why i hate the cloud in general and think people are mad to use it in any fashion: its not local.

The only way to have a secure (as possible) PC is to keep it (security, data etc) as local as possible.

Honestly people have lost the plot with "the cloud", its like facebook idiots giving away their privacy for free. It seems if you make it sound cool "its in the cloud" or its popular (facebook) the lemmings will line up to walk calmly over the cliff....

Society is doomed. Those who tweet and facebook or use cloud storage or apps will inherit nothing but misery when they finally realise they were the architects of their own demise...

I use Herdprotec and it's an alternatieve for Hitman Pro 3.x.

It uses also the cloud with 68 antivirus/antimalware software in it for malware detection.

Hitman Pro 3.x uses for the moment only 2 antivirus software for the cloud.

Only bad thing is that with Herdprotec, you only can scan for malware, not remove it with it.

I use it as a second opinion scanner like Hitman Pro 3.x.

This is such nonsense. It may use 68 scanners, but aside from the fact that a number of these are Bitdefender or Avira clones (so are essentially the same thing), does any feel that something like ClamAV will add anything to a scanner that already has Kaspersky? Not to mention that products like Kingsoft (which will flag legit files if they are compiled in a certain way) have VERY high FP rates.

True. NSA and other major intelligence agencies around the world gathers people data from social apps,...like the damn facebook or tweet...No need for sophisticated eaversdropping tools...the final user makes the spy job itself... :nono:
