Unofficial Windows build of Transmission-Qt, in fact a fork of that project with some corrections, many additions to support the use on Windows better, and modifications to enhance usability -- this means its not exactly Transmission-Qt as released. This project may even disappear when Transmission's own Windows support becomes official.

Transmission is a well known "Fast, Easy, and Free BitTorrent Client", the quote is from their site.

for choosing 32bit: *filename* x86_32
for choosing 64bit: *filename*x86_64

Not recommended if utorrent or similar exist these must be uninstalled before install of Transmission.

Unfortunately I haven't tried it yet thoroughly, I only know it because I'm an old Linux user ; I always used KTorrent. On Windows for now, I was stick to qBittorrent.

It got a GUI but show only the necessary information until you double click on the progress bar. It can also run in background and let you connect to it remotely. It's available in some embedded system too. Speed was never a issue for me since I have a very high bandwidth and never use it fully (unless downloading Linux's .iso images).

If you are really using IPT, go to homepage on iptorrents after signing in and check whether transmission is allowed or not. :)

Some have been tested and they still report back bad data so all releases later than 2.03 will be Banned.

Transmission 2.82 is actually a banned client and using it could result in a disabled account.

It is known to report bad stats to the tracker which can possibly make you lose out on well earned ratio, or it can be flagged by the system for cheating.

So first thing I would do is downgrade to our approved version, see link below

Back in my Linux days I used KDE and to install a GTK app it forced me to install a bunch of dependancies I didn't want to. I only knew Ktorrent and qBittorrent programmed in Qt.

So back to Windows I naturally installed qBittorrent. I needed DHT, PeX, LDP, uTP and encryption, and does the job just fine.

The others are bloated for me, or require Java which I don't want to install since I never have the use for, nor I want to have my browser opened for a GUI.

I just discovered that Transmission for Windows let the dbus-daemon.exe prossess opened even after I close the program and I don't like this behaviour either, so it's not for me.
