Therru
After using Emsisoft ISP8 for a while I've become to this conclusion.Pros:Easy to switch between Modes using hotkeys, i.e Advanced > BankingSmall installer, when measured between Bitdefender / EmsisoftKinda lightweight, though eats ram quite a lot, but still this belongs to Pros sectionVery cool GUIDoesn't slow down system start-upExtremely fast for a AntivirusKinda cheap license for a yearCons:Makes AppData folder extremely slow to navigateMakes BitTorrent unresponding and slowAnti-Malmware needs double activation before it stays activatedSoftware updates might become a bit more difficultFor a novice user kinda hard Antivirus to configure3 system tray iconsNo Online-Armor desktop icon by defaultGrade: Edited March 7, 2014 by Therru

PTmax
I've owned Emsisoft Antimalware in the past and nearly all the cons you list are not there. For me Emsisoft is the most honest anti-malware company, with high quality products that don't cost a fortune to own or subscribe to (ehm, ehm, Kaspersky, ehm ehm). I also liked their behaviour-based only product, Mamutu, but they discontinued it.

AlexCross
@Therru I used Emsisoft until 2 days ago when I won a Webroot key, I never experienced what you did (from the Cons list, with only 1 exception). Makes AppData folder extremely slow to navigate - never experiencedMakes BitTorrent unresponding and slow - never experiencedAnti-Malmware needs double activation before it stays activated - I have experienced, it's a know bug I think, since it always happen.Software updates might become a bit more difficult- never experienced, it updates automatically, it can download up to 10 updates at the same time if you have speed. For a novice user kinda hard Antivirus to configure - For me it doesn't seem, but I'm not a novice and I don't comment.3 system tray icons - never experiencedNo Online-Armor desktop icon by default - Yes, but that's just like a futuristic "firewall". avmad
It's a decent AV, very configuarable (so not to delete cracks etc)The firewall went to pieces quite a while ago. Shame as it used to be good. (I gave up and switched to Outpost FW. Much better)
Ragdd
it was part of the Hitman Pro 3.x scancloud and for me it's a pretty good anti-malware program.
