Use Magic Actions for YouTube™. You'll have the best & very pleasant viewing experience with no ads!

is it valid for FF also?

HostsMan?( I use that) I dont get any ads on you tube. I also use Spybot S&D, (Immunize button) and Spyware Blaster.

what ads are you talking about? Post a screenshot for us please?

ads inside the player or on the web page?

and I would say AdMuncher but it tends to screw up you tube, instead of helping it.

I rarely even use AdMuncher any more, except on extreme cases where the site is ridiculous with page re-directs.

Also recommendations for Magic Actions. I had a strange situation on one computer. Every time a YouTube video would reach a position where ads should appear, video would stop, and I had to manually resume it. Loading would also stop. As soon as I installed Magic Actions, everything went back to normal.

Cheers ;)

I used to get P*ssed at the ads embedded in youtube videos the ones that make you watch the ad before you can watch the video then I installed adblock plus and my problems went away. The program adblock plus is a godsend..

Dont know about scripts, but i have been using Hosts files and Blue Hell Firewall ( Ultralight Ads and Tracking blocker ) , and i have yet to see them fail in majority !

Works almost 95% of the time on most websites including Youtube, with the remaining 5% being some over aggressive Ads or Pop ups or new window/tabs !

Along with this i highly recommend this FF add on -- YouTubeCenter https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-center/

Has shit load of options for customizing the Youtube and even features an Ad blocker !

The best for me is the DASH protocol over-ride .

Youtube now uses this protocol that downloads or buffers the file in parts or blocks . Pause the video and the buffer stops . Forward or Rewind and it again starts the download ignoring the already buffered / downloaded part !

Just untick the DASH option in the settings and the older Youtube buffering system will be back .

Hit play and then pause the video and it shall continue to download until complete.

You have the whole video now, and play , pause , forward , rewind as many times as you want w/o again downloading or buffering it ! ;)
