captcha
Hey guys.I have been a pure IDM guy for past few years.Back then I rarely used FTP for some transfers,so didn't notice that. Now that I have occasionally started using FTP for some transfers,I noticed that IDM has some troubles with process, the most annoying is lets say I downloaded a file to 90% and paused for for some hours. If I resume it the downloads start from like 70-80 sometimes even 20%. This really wastes a lot of time. This can be resolved I guess by lowering the no of connections it uses. Now my question is I really never used any FTP client like Filezilla etc.If anyone of you has ever used them,do you know if they are better at managing the FTP transfers?Or are better than IDM in regard to FTP? Thanks. Edited March 4, 2014 by captcha
Hritik V.
Depends on the file origin. If the origin allows multiple connection then IDM is the best as it makes multiple connection to download your file ,And the 20% problem may be solved by updating the IDM or simply refreshing the download link .In short , FTP client is not better.
