Reefa
The month of February 2014 has come to a close and its now time to take a look at the browser market share to see which browser reigns supreme. According to new data from NetApplications, Internet Explorer 8 is still the top browser with a 21.73% market share, while Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft latest browser version, climbs to 12.80%.Internet Explorer 11 has seen a decent increase in market share since its release on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. Microsoft has been touting Internet Explorer 11 as the perfect browser for touch, along with the browser's touch capabilities. Compared to the month of January, Internet Explorer 11 saw a share increase from 11.51% to 12.80%. Google's Chrome 32 browser currently rests in third place behind Internet Explorer 11, and second place behind Internet Explorer in general. Chrome currently holds a 9.86% share, which is up from the previous month's 6.79% figure. Mozilla's Firefox 27 browser currently holds a 7.90% share, and sits firmly in third place beneath Chrome and Internet Explorer.Which browser and what version of it do you use?Source

calguyhunk
Firefox!Firefox, Waterfox x64 - fuck chrome, google, and the nsaStartpage.com for the win! :)Chrome has taken over from IE to become the new de-facto browser of choice for the n00bs. It just installs itself (technically - offers to install itself) annoyingly with every single software download, from CCleaner to Flash to Avast and everything in between. Just blindly clicking on "Next" in the installer windows installs Chrome and changes the homepage to Google. Pretty much exactly the same way you get Ask, Babylon, Conduit, McAfee etc. What great company to be in. ;)No wonder Chrome has more users than Fx today. Would be Fx users have to actually go to the Mozilla site to install Fx. Meaning they have to know their way round the web already. But the average Joe, who gets infected with Chrome unknowingly through a third party installer, won't even notice the change from IE, and continue on browsing merrily, which is why Chrome has become as big as it has. :(No self-respecting, privacy-valuing, productivity loving power-user would ever touch Chrome with a bargepole IMO, and neither should you if you value your privacy. Not only is it's installation modus-operandi sneaky, it lacks the very features and customizations that make Fx the browser of choice for most (almost all) power users. :)Chrome auto-updates (unless you edit the registry to stop that) not just itself, but also Flash etc. Even IE doesn't have the balls to do that! It's basically telling you that it's made for idiots who don't even know to keep their plugins updated. Also, Chrome's addon store is a bad joke compared to the Mozilla site and a lot of the GM scripts just don't work right on Chrome. But trust these Chrome users to argue inanities like "But it's so fast. And the interface is so clean". :wtf: Yeah, good luck with your fast and clean Chrome, give me my slow and ugly Firefox/derivatives anyday  Edited March 2, 2014 by calguyhunk

OrbingStorm
Google was a great search engine company once but now they want to know your thoughts literally.I don't like my privacy invaded and I actually have nothing to hide. Its a moral and human right not to be spied upon.I stear clear of google for that reason.Im sure the others like ie microsoft do it to but google seems to make it obvious and tell you to like it.
