Sometimes :). just use good antiviruses so you won't infected from anywhere. And we here check links so no one get infected.

I've never had a bad link, if anything is found to be malware etc, its reported and quickly removed, most of the major contributors either test it themselves or warn if its unknown to them.

Nothing is 100% safe, you need to use common sense and there also is a big portion of self-responsibility.

As mentioned above, with Sandboxie as example you can test almost anything without having stuff on your real machine, you can install, test without trouble. You also can use a VM or various Multi-AV sites that have a online-scan to verify files, if there is something suspicious in any link or shared file, it will be found very quickly and removed after reporting. I also have never been infected since i'm a member of nsane, only one time where it was pretty closely (GiffingTool) but thanks to other members, common sense and Sandboxie no damage has been done.

Compared to huge public warez sites, nsane is pretty safe and self-regulating. :)

I think he doesn't mean if the "content" is safe, but if the file hosts are safe, if "the links" are safe.

In this case I suspect that sites like tusfiles should not be admitted.

Use always sandboxy for fixes...even patches can sometimes be runed in da box..then copy the content to apps dir by yourself..if no reg changes are done the app should be registered

anyway

2 + years nsane and never had any anger with fixes and links here!

and for xtra security ...ahhmmm privacy use a vpn ;)

First,

The community guidelines clearly say, "posts, PM's or via the shoutbox) should be free from flaming, baiting, spam, profanities and illegal / obscene material, and as a result should be positive, polite and constructive.

Yet the users on here ask and answer illegal ways of pirating, hacking and the moderators or the admin seem to take no action.

Then,

How to be sure whether the links and softwares posted on the forum are malware free?

I really wonder...What's next?

Its totally unsafe Jake and we even have viruses built in the the images your downloading that can be activated remotely so if I were you Id be careful and take your PC to the local repair shop for a complete format and reinstall.

Alternately you could take it down the hall to the CIC office for a refund

Keep you safe.

Only download from posts made by respected members. (It will take some researching, but check profile, comments, past threads, likes etc)

Ignore posts by new members until confirmed by a few of the above respected members.

Always scan everything with Virus Total.

Run in Sandboxie first.

Use your brain.

If in doubt don't download/run the item in question. There are always alternatives.

Have a decent backup software and AV.

Use AX64TM or Shadow Defender incase you run a virus. You can easily return to your clean system again then afterwards.

Everything posted on Front Page is supposed to be tested as clean.

If members post infected software they probably won't be members for long.

Most of us have never been infected.

Use common sense B)
