rudrax
Will it need Uxtheme patcher? No! It won't need any patcher. It does I guess. I placed those theme file and the folder in the required location but didn't get any RP look. When I apply the theme, the same RTM sh!t appears. Misaki2010
Should work on Windows 8 and 8.1 without using an uxtheme patch, what I did to get it to work was rename the msstyle from the actual RTM aero folder to aerobk.msstyle and afterwards I pasted the RC msstyle. Please use a restore point in case it fails, or have a linux live CD/USB that you can boot to rename the msstyle from if it fails to restore or boot Windows 8. It shouldn't fail if the change was made properly :)One more thing, you can also try to rename the folder with the RC msstyle to "Aero RC" but please make sure you also rename and modify aero.theme as well.1. Copy aero.theme from RC and open it with Notepad2. Change [DisplayName=@%SystemRoot%\System32\themeui.dll,-2013] to [DisplayName=Aero RC] or whatever you want (without [ ] )3. Change [Path=%ResourceDir%\Themes\Aero\Aero.msstyles] to [Path=%ResourceDir%\Themes\Aero RC\Aero.msstyles]4. Save the .theme file and rename it to "aero rc.theme".5. Paste it on C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, followed by the Aero RC folder that you renamed previously.6. Right click on the desktop, Personalize and select the visual style from there.Tested it on Windows 8.1 Update 1 (9600.17025) Edited February 23, 2014 by Misaki2010

Unfortunately it can't be fixed unless you edit the msstyle using Windows Style Builder (WSB). Custom made Visual Styles that got this jumplist bug can be fixed by installing StartIsBack but I don't think this applies to original msstyles as well :( Edited February 24, 2014 by Misaki2010
