[Help] Program to take a screenshot and upload it somewhere

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I'm looking for a software that lets me take a screenshot, say the whole screen, a single window, or a portion to it, and immediately give me an option to upload it to any of the public image hosting services like imgur, imageschack or whatever.

Like the Windows' Snipping Tool but with the option to upload it instead of saving it to the HDD.

Do any of you know if such application exists?

Thanks in advance.

Heh thanks for the fast responses!

I'll try HyperSnap and PicPick to see which one I like the most.

Lately it has been become a tedious repetitive process to take a screenshot and then upload it somewhere to post it in a forum or something.

Just to mention the own Desktop applications of both hosters you talked about, imgur and imageshack have both their own capture/upload tool. ;)

imgur

imageshack

All with sharing functionality and there are bunch of more.

... and that doesn't upload it automatically to imgur.com, which is the point.

I think you may need an automatic everything program. It is not very hard to upload a picture or pictures to imgur.

I think you may need an automatic everything program. It is not very hard to upload a picture or pictures to imgur.

Computers are made to work for humans. Humans should not work for computers. If your computer doesn't do everything, then you failed, and it governs you instead you to it.

Time is money. If you spend 1 or 2 minutes to manually upload a picture then you're spending money.

By the way I liked PicPick the most and it does the job very nice and very quickly.

EDIT: ShareX looks cool too!!!

Scorpius how much time are you spending talking about something you should just be DOING?

posting in a thread takes time bro! :)

its all good thts why we are here...not only to help, but sometimes to provide advice too:)

there ARE apps that will do what you're asking and i saw one here one day but I canot remember what it was,

because when i saw it I thought "wow cool, ...dont need it" I try to keep it simple..and not too automated.

I enjoy doing things myself.

having said that, I use Winsnap for capture and Imgur for online linking

my clips usually require some sort of editing to crop and add text, so the capture>>>instant upload strategy doesnt fit my methods.

Shotty. It's easy to use and does everything u asking. It's what I use right now since it makes uploading to imgur really easy. You can see some screenshots here: http://www.softpedia.com/progScreenshots/Shotty-Screenshot-162609.html
