shought
@mara-PM should be flying in on a pterodactylus any minute :D@GCII am unsure about this. But I know for sure that you can still get your Windows Updates, the Automatic update feature will always work :(
GCI
Ok. Lol, I just read your PM. So, if I tried Windows update manually, and it ended up not working as planned, would it just say the licence is invalid and give my three days to let me get my act together? So, if I tried Windows update manually, and it ended up not working as planned, would it just say the licence is invalid and give my three days to let me get my act together?I'm unsure(again, starting to become a bad habit) what exactly will happen, but your Windows is still activated, it's just not 'Genuine'. I think the only thing that will happen is that it shows 'this Windows is not Genuine' or something and that would be it, you can check it out and otherwise there'll be a way to fix it, there always is. GCI
Ok, now I thank you for your support :(I just installed Office SBE 2003, 100% legally of course, and I just wanted to make sure that I could update and patch it without any unforeseen consequences. Jota.Ce
XP Pro VLK can be updated without problems if you switch to a genuine serial. But there are hundreds of VALID serials that are not genuine, so those ones aren't meant to update, only to use your XP.I guess it's the same with Retail versions.
