WRonce
I don't think any software can change end to end errors. It's mechanical fault with the HDD.I had the same problem and bought a new drive quick smart ;)
Roger D
first mate, go and cool down :)post a clean smartpls. use thishttp://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.htmlHere it is..
WRonce
mate, if my HDD I do first a BACK-UP DATA-then HDD Low Level Format ... check with HDD-Tools, simple hd tune, read write, stresstest, to see if you will get errors and ... if to many errors better to say "goodbye" to your hdd --- buy a new one ;) if acceptable then ... copy back your files (file copy with relocation - not backup - fragmentation) check again s.m.a.r.t table done. problem solved
WRonce
first mate, go and cool down :)post a clean smartpls. use thishttp://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.htmlHere it is..this is just relocation - not diying HDD :) this is good!!!best way, backup files, new low level format, and copy back datethe drive will be fine :)for your understanding, the HDD has a limited reserved "table" of sectors, if one is going bad then it will change to one of the reserved, now you have 0,0 sectorswhen you format a drive it will mark all bad sectors and relocate a new table then you are fine :)may be you will have just les space but that is it. I had it many times, this is fine, much more better than problem with magnetic resonance.for hardcore test use this: h2testw (it take some hours) will writte the whole hdd could not find a better link german and english http://www.heise.de/download/h2testw.htmlfor just surface this: hdtune trial is fine http://www.hdtune.com/ Edited February 4, 2014 by WRonce
mike.mt
But have you tried these sectors to improve someway? It's quite normal on HDD case, that among some sectors will be damaged. There is nothing new or strange. Usually, you can fix them and everything is fine.Of course we must regularly monitor that does not arise bad sectors. It happens very rarely that cannot be repaired. How to fix the issue??? I don't have any idea which software should be used to fix the issue.. :(Sorry guys but I disagree..... There is no fix..... But every one to their own......Having been associated with the Data Recovery profession for years... In my opinion is that there is no permanent cure..... all electro / mechanical components in hard drives wear & die with age,... Similar to light bulbs & batteries ... Some last longer than others.....Do not trust all results shown in basic HD diag apps... They are only a very general guide... Smart attributes can change in minutes....Apps like HDD Regen can assist in getting data readable again through re-locating sectors & have their uses in certain situationsWeak heads & failing sectors vastly degrade HD performance,,,,,The more load placed on them.... the worse it will get.Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but from your symptoms, its time for a back up & a new HD...If you care for an opinion from other guys in the DR business, check out http://forum.hddguru.com/Hope this provides some extra food for thought
WRonce
@mike in generall you are right, prof user and business ;) if you have sensitive date - redundant backup ;) donebut here, lets wait for Hdtune test and then we will see... you can not say right now, how many sectors are bad - that is imposible right now.If just the table is full, the best way formal and reorganize the date - done :) it is not an Enterprise HDD :) Edited February 4, 2014 by WRonce

WRonce
don´t use it! if you can! back up - check connection cable (end 2 end - not good :( ) - low level format - copy data back.you need to know how many sectors are bad, no other wayAt the moment when HDD can not propery writte (will not find a proper sector), the hdd will destroy the structure and you will lose more then just a file.Don´t wait for it!current pending sector - you are already over the limit! Kalju
Do you have any of these, for example:Iobit Advanced System CareGlary UtilitiesTuneUp UtilitiesSystem MechanicAnd them are still very much.I don't use any of them.. :rolleyes:It seems that I can not figure out whether you want it improve or you always want to buy new, when a problem arises?Download the first two, and if possible, make to pro version (the codes you will find here the same forum), but is not strictly necessary, - then we'll talk, what and how to proceed. mazigh
first mate, go and cool down :)post a clean smartpls. use thishttp://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.htmlHere it is..1- Your HDD may live longer than what you think2- Never install PD, from my experience its causing errors and making HDD so hot 'theirs defrag process is not that smart the way they pretend", Instead DK is the best choice3- You can repair "Current Pending Sector Count" using ''HDD Regenerator'' in Safe Mode (better) or using a bootable USB/CD4- the most thing I see scaring is the teperature, above 50C may cause failtures, buy a an external cooler Edited February 5, 2014 by mazigh
