I am looking for a workaround to stop this. Here's what I tried:-Disable all extensions in chrome-Changed browser (On chrome and FF same problem, on IE it is unable to find URL)-Tried downloading linksys skip extension in chrome-Removed anything unwanted from control panel-Scanned PC with Hitman Pro-Changed DNS server-Even when i open the links with my laptop, ipad, mobile on the same wifi network, i am redirected to the same website.Everything was working fine and this suddenly started out of nowhere a week back. LOQUILLO Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 I encountered this problem on many computers and the first thing that I did was turn off the modem-router and turn it back on, then, automatically switches to IP and everything returns to normal. mike.mt Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 -Changed DNS server-Even when i open the links with my laptop, ipad, mobile on the same wifi network, i am redirected to the same website.------------------------------Sounds similar to a DNS hijack issue...You may wish to try the following:-Manually set the router DNS to point to Google 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4..... then reboot routerOn windows machines Network adapter settings - Obtain DNS server address Auto...Clear Browser Caches..Open Programs / Accessories Command Prompt & type ipconfig /flushdnsHit the Enter key..If this does not give you a positive result...
