I am having Transcend 4GB pen drive but I am unable to delete /add files.I tried several methods such as regedit.exe, manual formatting, using diskpart method but no success each time message Disk is write protected. When I used online recovery tool of transcend it shows that no pen drive detected and in MY COMPUTER my pen drive is detected and showing files.

Plz help me to format my pen drive.

I wanted to ask u a doubt that how to remove write protection?I checked in registry editor "WriteProtect" is set to zero and I am now able to delete some of the files but for 1-2 files it gives error message "Remove write protection" and new files can't be put.Now the pen drive free space is 3.69 GB/3.73 GB.Previously I used it for creating bootable usb for win xp sp3 using wintoflash and some of the files are still there on this pen drive.

Try BOOTICE. Just re-format your drive as something else [like USB-HDD ] and then revert it back to the original state. that should work.

Message :"Write File Failed! Media is Write Protected."

When I tried with storagepolicies of regedit.exe then more than 7-8 mins it tries but at last message timeout is being shown.

Have you been able to fix it yet? I had this problem a few months ago, I tried everything people suggested me to use but nothing ever worked. Until I found some stuff in which you have to format the chip inside your pendrive. The manufacturer has this little program and some chineese people sometimes leak it online. I'll guide you with the steps in about 3 hours since I'm a little busy right now.
